In 2018, the FBI reported that fraud relating to email account compromise exceeded 12 billion USD. Victims were located throughout the United States as well as in 150 other countries.
03 / HOW
Email hosting providers that sign up for Spoor submit data related to specific events that may indicate the account has been compromised.
Each event is analysed and compared against historical data as well as data received from other providers.
Should this analysis indicate the potential of compromise, the reporting provider is notified.
